The 6 residency options offered to investors Mauritius’ investment residency program includes six real estate schemes: the Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS), the Real Estate Scheme (RES), the Property Development Scheme (PDS), the Invest Hotel Scheme (IHS), the Smart City Scheme (SCS), and the Ground +2 Apartment Scheme (G+2).
To benefit from these schemes, the investor must acquire luxury real estate with a minimum value of $375,000. In return, the Purchaser and his dependents get a permanent residency in Mauritius, as long as he or she owns the property. There is also no Inheritance Tax or Capital Gains Tax, in case the owner decides to donate the property to his children or to sell the property. There is also no foreign exchange control to repatriate the proceeds of sales.
